                 Born in kuttamath in Kasargod Dist. Kanayi Kunjiraman has been Kerala’s Rajashilpi(Royal Sculptor) for over 50 years. He has an enviable reputation as a master craftsman, who has remained unrivalled in his genre.

                 Kanayi received the Commonwelth scholarship in 1965 to join the Slade School of Arts in London, Where he pursued his passion for sculpture for 3 years.

                 After his return, his first mojor sculpture was the massive YAKSHI in Malampuzha. Thereafter he made several life size statues. Sculptures and painting. Prominent among them are
